Biological viruses, computer viruses: Two similar or so different worlds?

Viruses, epidemics, spread, infection… these terms, which have been used for a long time in the medical world, have also become common in the vocabulary of cybersecurity experts. But why this semantic rapprochement between two universes which seem so different? What are the similarities? And can biological research be a source of education for ISS specialists?
